Privacy Policy

The publisher of the Apps and, where applicable, the data controller within the meaning of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / nLPD) is:

The Apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to SIGMASIX. They operate entirely locally on your device. No information about you, your usage, or your environment is sent to our servers or to any third party under our control.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, telemetry, crash reporting, or tracking services within the Apps.

The Apps may store preferences, settings, and configuration data on your device — for example, the list of devices you have configured in ProjectorManager, or your last selected pattern in TestCard. This data remains exclusively on your device. We have no access to it.

You can delete this local data at any time by uninstalling the App or by removing its preferences via the standard macOS interface.

Some Apps require certain permissions or perform actions that, while local in nature, deserve a brief explanation:

Syphoner

Syphoner requires the macOS Screen Recording permission to capture the contents of an application window and expose it as a Syphon source. Captured frames are processed locally and never leave your device through Syphoner. Whether they are recorded, forwarded, or transmitted afterwards depends entirely on the Syphon client you use them with — please consult the privacy policy of that application.

ProjectorManager

ProjectorManager establishes TCP connections to the projectors and displays you configure on your local network, using the PJLink® protocol. These connections are made directly between your Mac and the target devices. No traffic is routed through SIGMASIX servers.

TestCard

TestCard requires no special permissions. It only renders test patterns on your displays. No data is read from your system beyond the list of connected displays.

OdooProjects

OdooProjects connects directly from your device to the Odoo server(s) you configure, using the credentials you provide. These connections are made over HTTPS to the Odoo URLs you have entered — no traffic is routed through SIGMASIX servers. Your Odoo credentials are stored locally in the system keychain. Project and task data fetched from your Odoo instance is cached locally on your device and never shared with us or any third party.

AppleScripts

The AppleScripts collection consists of source code published on this website. There is no installable application and therefore no data collection of any kind by SIGMASIX. When you run a script you have copied, the script executes under your user account with the permissions you grant it; you are responsible for reviewing what it does before running it.

When you purchase or download an App through a third-party platform — currently Apple's Mac App Store or Polar.sh — that platform processes the transaction and may collect personal data of its own (account information, payment details, download history, etc.). This data is governed by the platform's own privacy policy, not by this one.

SIGMASIX receives only aggregated, non-identifying sales information from these platforms (for example, total units sold for a given period). We do not receive your name, email address, or payment information from them.

This website (sigmasix.ch/apps) does not set tracking cookies and does not use any third-party advertising services.

We may use a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool (Matomo) to count page views and understand which apps draw the most attention. This data is anonymised at the IP-address level, stored on infrastructure under our control, and never shared with third parties. If used, the analytics tool respects the Do Not Track browser signal and complies with Swiss data protection law.

The Apps do not use cookies, beacons, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technologies. The website does not use third-party tracking cookies. Any cookies set by the website are strictly necessary for it to function (for example, to remember language preferences if applicable).

Because the Apps do not collect any personal data, no data is collected from children. The Apps are not directed at children under 13, but they are also not designed to identify the age of any user.

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / nLPD), and where applicable the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, or request the erasure of any personal data a controller holds about you. You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority — in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC / PFPDT).

In practice, since SIGMASIX does not collect any personal data through the Apps, there is no data to access, rectify, or erase on our side. For data held by Apple or Polar in connection with your purchase, you should exercise your rights directly with those platforms.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. The current version is the one published on this page. Material changes will be indicated by an updated revision date at the top of the page.
